Hendersonville Man Charged with Child Solicitation

As part of the ongoing initiative and participation in the North Carolina Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, Hendersonville Police Department detectives in coordination with Homeland Security Investigations special agents arrested an individual who traveled to Hendersonville, NC from Greensboro, NC today to meet with a 13-year-old female.
Hendersonville detectives and HSI special agents took Kendall James Amaker, 23 years of age, into custody without incident following the investigation. Amaker has been charged with Solicitation of Child by Computer or Certain Other Electronic Devices to Commit an Unlawful Sex Act and is being held in the Henderson County Detention Center in lieu of a $8,000 secured bond.
