Asheville -- In response to community complaints, Asheville Police Department officers engaged in proactive crime prevention on Monday night, making two felony drug arrests in west Asheville.

In the first incident, Stephanie Michelle Vosburg (09/26/1984), who had an outstanding warrant, was contacted by cops on Granada Street at approximately 5:47 p.m. on June 23rd.  Vosberg was taken into prison without incident after it was discovered that he was in possession of drugs during the arrest. 

Officers came onto a motorcycle without a license plate later that night as it was disobeying a stop sign and heading in the opposite direction on a one-way street.  Steven Lamar Rice Jr. (04/16/1971) was apprehended without incident after it was discovered that he was in possession of a trafficking quantity of drugs during the State Street traffic stop.
