About Earth River Records

A family-owned second-generation vinyl shop, Earth River Records has a rich legacy that began in 1968. Founded by OG Owner Franklin Markowitz and now run by his son, Morgan, the store has journeyed coast to coast, landing in Asheville in 2021. We carry over 20,000 vintage vinyl records and a wide range of audio equipment, cassette tapes, CDs, DVDs, vintage posters, and memorabilia.

We're always buying, selling, and trading, so feel free to bring your collections—we even make house calls! If you can't make it when we're open, just call us to set up an appointment.

RSVP: Let us know you're coming to the party!
