N.C. Mountain State Fair Whole Hog Cookoff to Benefit MANNA FoodBank

Series is coming to the 2024 N.C. Mountain State Fair, with MANNA FoodBank receiving all meat from the competition as well as on-site monetary donations. The Whole Hog Cookoff is sanctioned by the N.C. Pork Council, sponsored by Mariner Finance and Heritage Finance Co., Inc., and will feature cooking teams from across the Carolinas.
Food donations from the event are coming at a time when MANNA is serving over 158,000 people a month on average, the highest numbers in their 41-year history.
Saturday, Sept. 7
Cooking: 5 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Judging: 5 p.m.
Awards presentation: 6 p.m.
