Haywood County -- Haywood Community College: Join us for a FREE Community Science Night on April 18th!

Thank you for your interest in Community Science Night! 

From 6-8 pm in the Hickory Building, guests of all ages can enjoy hands-on, science-based activities. 

This event is open to all ages - prior science experience is not required!

Activities Include:

Assemble an Automaton. An engineering design challenge connecting NC's innovating machining industry.
Color-Changing Slime. Make a heat-sensitive slime to explore how polymers are made.
Nose Knows. Explore the connection between color and scent and how it impacts food and beverage manufacturing and development.
Self-Inflating Balloons. Use the power of chemistry to inflate a balloon.
Light-Up Badges. Make a badge that lights up to showcase the manufacturing of electronics in NC.
Plant a Christmas Tree. NC is famous for our Christmas Tree farms - plant a seed to grow your own!
Pizza and drinks provided by the generosity of Pratt & Whitney.
