Asheville -- "Hot Stuff" is a sizzling event where heat-seekers Lauren of pleb urban winery and J. Chong of J. Chong Eats

go head to head for a fiery tastebud adventure while giving back to charity. Admission starts at $5 and all proceeds are donated to WNCAP, a local charity. Starting at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 2, laugh along as the two contestants suffer through 10 increasingly hot sauces, including creations by five local chefs. Throughout the evening, drag queen host Divine Holeburn entertains guests with spicy-themed questions, a special performance, and wit-burning banter. Tickets are available at www.AshevilleDragBrunch.com.

Pleb urban-winery generously hosts the event. In some ways, Plēb recalls the microbreweries that started popping up in every midsize American city a couple of decades ago: a taproom in a downtown industrial building, fermenting tanks in view, street art–style murals decorating the walls. But Plēb is much more deeply rooted in the countryside than its urban winery model might suggest.

Their tasting room is a reflection of the way wine should be consumed — with friends and community in a laid-back environment. Learn more at plueburbanwinery.com.
