Meals on Wheels provides much needed food for seniors. Did you know they are also feeding the pets in the homes, too?
This is amazing! We all know that pets are family, by providing for these wonderful pets, seniors don't have to worry about them going hungry! Healthy food and even kitty litter! . Ordering is very simple!
You are able to drop off pet food and needs at their office Monday through Friday.
Asheville & Buncombe County Meals on Wheels: "We currently feed about 85 pets – 33 dogs and 52 cats - among our homebound senior neighbors here in Buncombe County. If you're interested in helping seniors' pets, take a look at our Amazon Smile Wish List. All orders will be delivered to our office."
They are in need volunteers for delivery routes located in the north of Buncombe County, specifically Jupiter and the Dillingham Road area. We will provide the link to apply below.
The website also makes it easy to register to volunteer, donate, refer someone in need of their service.
