Researchers have developed a portable electrospinning device with a confined electric field that can safely deposit bandages and drugs directly onto biological surfaces, using air to spray the fibers out onto the surface, like a can of spray paint. The device can be used to cover wounds and provide controlled drug release over time.

Raleigh -- NCDHHS Press Release -- Nov 8, 2019 The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services submitted an annual report to the legislature on Nov. 8 highlighting significant progress in the Transition to Community Living Initiative (TCLI) to assist people with mental illness find housing and services in the community. A hallmark success of the program was a 27 percent increase in housed individuals over the prior year.
