Asheville Drive-by Shooting Leaves One Person Dead

Asheville -- Asheville Police Online Post: A drive-by shooting outside 251 Biltmore Avenue has left one man deceased.

He was shot multiple times and passed away on-scene before officer’s arrived. The name of the victim will be released once his family has been notified. This happened around 10:45 pm on July 12.

The family of Jhakar Horace Davis has been notified of his passing. He was 18 years old and from Asheville. Davis was shot multiple times outside of 251 Biltmore Avenue around 10:45 p.m.
The suspects drove away heading southbound on Biltmore Avenue in a dark SUV before APD officers arrived.
