The Obermiller Farm is a small pick your own strawberry farm that opened in 1980. We are proud to say that we have our 3rd generation of pickers visiting our farm. It's always fun to catch up on our "farm" families each year, including stories from those of you that watched our boys grow up as well. We always welcome new families and new folks to join our terrific pick- your-own farm and Facebook family.
Our farm is a member of the NC Goodness Grows program with NC Department of Agriculture and the NC Strawberry Growers Association. We were featured in "Fruit South", a growers magazine in 1984 and have been featured on local TV and radio, as well as local newspaper articles. We did an interview with National Public Radio recently, too. In 2012 a local publication "Traditions" listed our farm under 'Things to Do in Hendersonville'. Not bad for our little "hole-in-the-wall" farm.
We normally open the first week of May for strawberries until the picking season ends, usually around the first week of June. We added blueberries in 2013. They usually start shortly after the 4th of July and pick through late August. We have added blackberries and a few raspberries for the 2019 season.
With special thanks to all of you -- JD, Lisa, Eric, Corey and Kyle(Corey Beth) Obermiller
